Charlotte Wiesmann (2017)

Charlotte Wiesmann (born August 17, 1961 in Grafenau ) is a German - Austrian visual artist .

life and work

The artist completed an apprenticeship as a ceramist in Freising . She then studied ceramics with Günter Praschak at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz . Since then, Wiesmann has been working as a freelancer. Her artistic work ranges from ceramics and sculpture to painting and drawing to photography and video.

Since 1999 she has realized several art projects in public spaces and has participated in numerous symposia and exhibitions at home and abroad. Charlotte Wiesmann worked in the studios of the Province of Upper Austria in Paliano and Malo , Italy. From 2006 to 2018 she worked in the atelier "Art and Culture - KUK Linz", an institution of Pro mente Upper Austria . She was given purchase prices several times, e.g. E.g .: the Federal Chancellery, the state of Upper Austria and the cities of Linz , Wels and Steyr .

Charlotte Wiesmann is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Upper Austria and the Upper Austrian Art Association . She lives and works in Linz .
