The county Cheongyang ( kor. : 청양군 , Cheongyang-gun ) is located in the province of Chungcheongnam-do in South Korea . The administrative center is located in Cheongyang-eup City. The district had an area of 479.57 km² and a population of 32,359 inhabitants in 2019.
The predominantly rural area is known throughout South Korea for the spicy Gochu peppers grown there. It is also known for growing chilli.
