Nonsan is a city in Chungcheongnam-do Province in South Korea , about 30 km southwest of the megacity Daejeon . Nonsan has about 130,000 inhabitants. It is known for its Strawberry Festival in April and for the dried fish that are sold in the market and for the Gwanchoksa Temple. The Konyang University was in 1991 established.
Rice cultivation is Nonsan's most important agricultural product. Strawberries , ginseng , apples , nashi pears , barley and grapes are also grown in the city and the surrounding area .
