Winner-take-all myth

In 1920 there were two teams from Chicago in the APFA, in addition to the Tigers the Chicago Cardinals . Legend has it that the teams believed that the city was not big enough to own two teams because they had to share the fans and with it the revenue. That is why those responsible had agreed that the loser of the game would have to stop operations on November 7, 1920. This game was lost by the Tigers, who also stopped playing after the season. This legend is considered untrue. Financial problems are given as the actual reasons for the Tigers to stop playing.
