Chlyne Lohner

The Chly Lohner (recorded in swisstopo maps as Chlyne Loner , standard German: Klein Lohner ) is a mountain between the Kandertal and Engstligental in the Bernese Oberland .

location

On the ridge between the Kandertal and the Engstligental, the Chly Lohner connects to the north of the (Gross) Lohner massif . The incision of the Bunderchrinde forms the boundary between the two massifs. According to SOIUSA , the border between the Bernese Alps and the Bernese Pre-Alps is also here , so that the Chly Lohner is counted among the Pre-Alps. In a north-easterly direction, connected by the Bundergrat, the more striking, but slightly less high Bunderspitz joins. To the east the mountain falls over the Alpschelegrat to the Alpschelehubel; in the west lies the Alp Bunderchumi.

The mountain lies on the border of the communities Kandersteg in the east and Adelboden in the west.

summit

The Chly Lohner has three peaks. The highest of these is the north summit at 2587  m . The central peak (with triangulation point) rises to 2583.8  m and the south peak to 2556  m .

The ascent takes place in climbing grade II . However, because the rocks are badly weathered, it is rarely climbed.
