Choi Woo-shik (born March 26, 1990 in Seoul ) is a South Korean actor .
Life
When Choi was in fifth grade, he went to Canada with his family , where he lived for ten years. In 2011 he returned to South Korea and got his first TV role in the series Jjakpae ( 짝패 ).
In 2014, Choi starred in the independent film Set Me Free , for which he was named Actor of the Year at the Busan International Film Festival . He achieved international fame through his roles in the zombie film Train to Busan (2016) by Yeon Sang-ho and the Netflix film Okja (2017) by Bong Joon-ho . In 2018 he finally played a mysterious young man in the action film The Witch: Subversion by Park Hoon-jung .
In 2019 he will play one of the leading roles in Bong Joon-ho's new film Parasite , which celebrated its world premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival .
