Christopher Eugene Chalk is an American actor .

life and career

Chris Chalk grew up in Asheville , North Carolina and attended Asheville High School, which he graduated in 1996. He then studied at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and, after graduating in 2001, went to New York to pursue an acting career. There he worked as a doorman for a hotel for some time before he made his breakthrough as an actor.

Since then he has appeared regularly in well-known US productions. In addition to individual guest appearances, he also played recurring roles in series such as Justified , Homeland and The Newsroom . Since 2014 he has played the leading role of Lucius Fox in the series Gotham . In 2019 he was seen in a small role in the miniseries When They See Us .

Chalk also played roles in films like When She Found Me or 12 Years a Slave .

Chalk became engaged to Kimberley Dalton Mitchell in September 2016, whom he married on April 22 of the following year in his hometown of Asheville.
