Chris Eißler starts for ESV Lok Zwickau and attended the elite winter sports school in Oberwiesenthal . He has been involved in luge sport since 2001. On his debut in the Luge World Cup 2013 in Winterberg , Eißler surprisingly won the men's singles-seated World Cup race, which was reduced to one run due to weather conditions, leaving behind, among others, the Olympic and world champions Armin Zöggeler , David Möller and Felix Loch .
Eissler achieved his first successes early on in the juniors. At the European Junior Championships in 2011 in Igls , he only just missed a medal in fourth place, and fifth at the World Championships in Oberhof . In 2012 he was fourth again at the European Championships in Winterberg and sixth at the World Championships in Königssee . In 2013, Eißler won the silver medal behind Emanuel Rieder at the European Junior Championships in Oberhof , and finished 12th at the World Championships in Park City . In the Youth A World Cup, Eißler made his debut in the second half of the 2009/10 season and immediately won two races in Königssee and Oberhof and was fourth in the overall standings in only three of six races. In the following season 2010/11 he won the overall ranking of the Youth A World Cup. In the 2011/12 season he won two races in Park City and in the end the overall ranking of the junior racing series, in 2012/13 the race in Winterberg, in the overall ranking he was second behind Florian Berkes .
