Christopher James Miller (* 9. August 1965 in Pomona , California ) is a former American American football poker players at the position of quarterback . He played in the National Football League (NFL), including for the Atlanta Falcons . He has since worked as a quarterback coach in the NFL.
Early years
Miller grew up in Eugene , Oregon , where he also attended high school. He later went to the University of Oregon .
NFL
Atlanta Falcons
Miller was selected in the first round of the 1987 NFL draft in 13th place by the Atlanta Falcons . In his first season he played three games (1 touchdown , 9 interceptions ). However, in his second season, he was named a starter in his position. After the 1991 season , he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first and only time . He threw for 3,103 yards and scored 26 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
Los Angeles / St. Louis Rams
On March 8, 1994, he moved to the Los Angeles Rams . He was released after two years with the Rams. Miller kept having concussion issues , forcing him to pause his career.
Denver Broncos
When he made his NFL comeback with the Denver Broncos for the 1999 season , he suffered another concussion. This made him give up his playing career.
Trainer
Between 2009 and 2012, Miller was Quarterbacks coach with the Arizona Cardinals . He previously worked as a trainer at a high school in Eugene , Oregon .
