Chrisanna Burkhardt , actually Christina Anna Burkhardt or short form Christina Burkhardt (born September 11, 1949 in Neunkirchen , Austria ) is an Austrian songwriter and writer .

Life

Christina Burkhardt worked from 1973 to 1983 as a journalist and copywriter in the tourism, industry and wholesale sectors. She then worked as press spokeswoman and public relations manager at an international company. She has also written essays , reports and essays for print media in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain and the USA.

In addition, Burkhardt worked as a writer and wrote chansons , texts and sketches for cabarets and shows . In the mid-1970s she was discovered as a songwriter by the Austrian composer and cabaret artist Gerhard Bronner (1922–2007), who, like the Austrian composer and cabaret artist Peter Wehle (1914–1986), set some of her chansons to music and released them on LP . Further settings were made by the musicians Franco Andolfo and Michael Starch .

Burkhardt also wrote lyrics for the Austrian singer Marianne Mendt , who published them on several sound carriers, and worked on shows for theater , television and radio . She designed several cabaret programs, such as for the Austrian cabaret artist Götz Kauffmann and for Marianne Mendt. In the 1990s she took part in various non-fiction anthologies .

In 2008 and 2009, Burkhardt's first books appeared as the sole author, using the genres of non-fiction / advice, novels and children's / young people's books. After she had previously published under her real name Christina Burkhardt , she has been writing under the author's name Chrisanna Burkhardt since the mid-2000s .

Burkhardt has been writing texts for “ cabaret ” since the 1970s , thereby creating the basis for songs, cabaret and show programs. Some of her lyrics are still popular with the audience and performers, such as I laugh tears when you lie , which was sung by Marianne Mendt and has already been released several times on various albums. In her recently published books, too, she often deals with contemplative and humorous topics; in Eisenjahre “draws a contemplative family picture of the 50s with a lot of humor and sensitivity” ( Die Salzburgerin ) and delivers a “successful homage to post-war Austria” ( SPÖ Aktuell ).

Chrisanna Burkhardt lives and works in Vienna today .
