Coaching career

After Bucchi had already headed Delfino Pescara’s Primavera team in 1936 as head coach in the 2012/13 season , he was promoted to head coach of the Serie A team after Cristiano Bergodi's dismissal in March 2013 . In July 2013 he was introduced as head coach of the third division club AS Gubbio 1910 . After another successful stint with the SS Maceratese , Bucchi coached the AC Perugia Calcio in Serie B 2016/17 , with whom he only failed in the playoffs to climb to the top Italian division.
