Kristiano Samuel Armenteros Nunez Mendoza Jansson (born May 27, 1990 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish football player who has been under contract with the Italian second division Benevento Calcio since the 2017/18 season and is primarily used as a center forward.

Career

Armenteros, who is also a Cuban citizen, was born in the Masthugg parish in Gothenburg and played for Azalea BK , Husqvarna FF and Örgryte IS as a teenager in his home country in Sweden before he came to the Netherlands. Since 2006 he has been under contract with SC Heerenveen , but did not make the leap into the first team. On August 13, 2009 he committed Heracles Almelo , for whom he made his debut November 28, 2009 in the Eredivisie ; he was substituted on against Roda JC Kerkrade in the 77th minute for Bas Dost . In the second half of the season he was used regularly and scored three goals in the league, the first of which on March 27, 2010 in a 2-3 defeat at AZ in Alkmaar .

After Bas Dost switched to sc Heerenveen for the 2010/11 season, Armenteros took over Glynor Plet's role in the striker. During this season he came in 32 Eredivisie games on eight goals. In the following 2011/12 season , the two often played together in the storm, with Armenteros dodging on the wings. Heracles was only twelfth in the league after finishing sixth and eighth in the preseason, but was able to reach the cup final against PSV .

Plet moved to FC Twente for the 2012/13 season ; Armenteros took over the place in the striker again and scored eight goals in the first 14 games of the season and both goals in the cup victory in the third round against Sparta Rotterdam . During the winter break he moved to the Belgian first division club RSC Anderlecht , but could not assert himself there. In three missions he contributed one hit to the championship. After two games in the 2013/14 season, the 1.79 tall striker was loaned out during the summer transfer window by the honorary division Feyenoord Rotterdam for the rest of the season . Another loan deal to the honorary division Willem II Tilburg followed in the 2014/15 season . In the 2015/16 season, Armenteros played for Qarabağ Ağdam in Azerbaijan , where he was champion and cup winner. In 2016 he returned to Heracles Almelo.

In the summer of 2017, Armenteros moved to Benevento Calcio . It was loaned to the Portland Timbers in January 2018 and, two years later, to Crotone FC .

National team

In 2013, Armenteros played for his home country Sweden in qualifying for the U-21 European Championship. He scored one goal in seven games. In 2017 he played two games for the senior team and scored one goal.
