Cristian Bucchi (born May 30, 1977 in Rome ) is a former Italian football player and current coach .
Player career
society
Born in Rome, he was a wanderer among football professionals. In 1998 the striker played for Perugia Calcio , and a year later for Vicenza Calcio . Bucchi returned to Perugia, where he wrote less athletic headlines. He gained international attention as one it in 2001 with his teammate Salvatore Monaco of nandrolone - doping convicted (as well as the Portuguese international Fernando Couto ). Cristian Bucchi has been sentenced to nine months in suspension. He made a fresh start with the second division team Ternana Calcio . The clubs Catania Calcio , Cagliari Calcio and AC Ancona followed . In the 2005/06 season , the center forward in the service of FC Modena was the top scorer in the Italian Serie B with 29 goals . The now 30-year-old moved to SSC Napoli for the 2006/07 season . In the 2007/08 season he played for AC Siena . Further stations were FC Bologna and Ascoli Calcio . He wore the AC Cesena jersey in the 2009/10 season and then signed for SSC Napoli.
National team
Bucchi made three appearances for the Italian U-21s and scored one goal.
Coaching career
After Bucchi had already headed Delfino Pescara’s Primavera team in 1936 as head coach in the 2012/13 season , he was promoted to head coach of the Serie A team after Cristiano Bergodi's dismissal in March 2013 . In July 2013 he was introduced as head coach of the third division club AS Gubbio 1910 . After another successful stint with the SS Maceratese , Bucchi coached the AC Perugia Calcio in Serie B 2016/17 , with whom he only failed in the playoffs to climb to the top Italian division.
After the departure of Eusebio Di Francesco , the first division team US Sassuolo Calcio signed him as the new head coach, which was Bucchi's first coaching position in Serie A. After 14 games in which the team scored only eleven points, Bucchi was dismissed.
