Christian Kolarik

Christian Kolarik (born May 26, 1972 in Steyr ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). He has been mayor of the Kronstorf market town since 2009 and has been a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament since January 30, 2020 .

Life

After finishing elementary school in Kronstorf, Christian Kolarik attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Steyr , where he graduated in 1990 . He then began studying business administration at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), which he completed with a master's degree. From 1998 to 2002 he was an assistant at the Institute for Industrial and Regional Environmental Economics at the JKU, and in 2002 he received his doctorate. He then worked in the office of Governor Josef Pühringer until 2017 , where he was responsible for international relations / Europe, the environment, energy, agricultural affairs and development cooperation. From 2017 to January 2020 he was employed at the Office of the Upper Austrian Provincial Government .

He is married and has two children.

Kolarik was a substitute councilor in the market town of Kronstorf from 1991 to 1997 and then until 2003 youth councilor. From 2003 to 2009 he was parliamentary group chairman and was a member of the local council and the local council . In 2000 he became ÖAAB district chairman in the Linz-Land district , previously he was JVP chairman in Kronstorf, JVP district chairman in Linz-Land and a member of the JVP state board. After the municipal council and mayor elections in Upper Austria in 2009 , he succeeded Willi Zuderstorfer as mayor of the market town of Kronstorf.

On January 30, 2020 he was in the XXVIII. Legislative term as Member of the Upper Austrian provincial parliament sworn in , where he worked for Anne Marie Brunner nachrückte. In the state parliament he became a member of the Petitions and Legal Adjustment Committee, the Committee for Local Affairs and Agriculture and Forestry, and the Environment Committee.
