Christian Kuchenbuch (* 1964 in Wittenberg ) is a German actor .

Life

Christian Kuchenbuch, the eldest son of the actor Roland Kuchenbuch , started acting in the Potsdam Pioniertheater as a child and was occasionally also used on the large stage of the Hans Otto Theater . He studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . In 1989 he joined the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam in time-critical Aitmatov / Plenzdorf -Stück of Wolves on. 1991 brought him Ralf-Günter Krolkiewicz for Brecht -Inszenierung the team theater to Munich, and after another short theatrical stations he joined Krolkiewcz again in its Augsburger time. Then came a Volksbühnen engagement in Berlin before moving to the Deutsches Theater in 1994 . There he worked from 1994 to 1996 and played in 1995 in Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew . In 1996 he returned to the Hans Otto Theater, where he again played a Shakespeare character in As You Like It . At the end of the 1999/2000 season he left Potsdam. From 2005 to 2009 he was a member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Frankfurt . He has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Leipzig since 2012 .

He worked with many famous directors, including Jürgen Gosch and Armin Petras . He made his own directorial debut in 1998 with Kassandra based on Christa Wolf 's novel of the same name .

His brother is the actor Robert Kuchenbuch .
