Christian Ludwig Albrecht Patje

Christian Ludwig Albrecht Patje (born August 2, 1748 in Hanover ; † February 11, 1817 there ) was a German civil servant and publicist .

The Patje family belonged in the 18th and 19th centuries, the so-called Pretty families and the educated middle class .

Christian Ludwig Albrecht Patje studied law and camera studies at the University of Göttingen and was a member of the student order Ordre de l'Esperance . In 1768 Patje joined the state administration as a chamber auditor and was already chamber secretary in 1769.

In 1784 he was elected a corresponding member of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences . 1786 he became a member of the Kommerzrat founded in the same year commercial college appointed and a few years later in 1790 for chamberlain.

His brief outline of the state of factories, trade and commerce in the Chur-Braunschweig-Lüneburg lands , published in 1796, became the forerunner of the address books of the city of Hanover .

In 1803 he became a member of the newly founded State Deputation College as well as a member of an executive or government commission (again in 1806, 5 members). In early 1806 Patje was promoted to cabinet council.

In 1810 Jérôme Bonaparte , King of the Kingdom of Westphalia , appointed him President of the Chamber of Accounts in Kassel , raised him to the status of a baron and a member of the Council of State.

From 1813 to 1815 Patje was refused a re-employment as part of the political cleansing, as he was counted among the few " collaborators ". Therefore, Patje has lived as a private citizen since then. Patje's grave is located in the listed garden cemetery near the center of Hanover.
