Christian Nummedal (born November 3, 1995 ) is a Norwegian freestyle skier . He starts in the disciplines of slopestyle and big air .

Career

Nummedal started the Freestyle Skiing World Cup on Kreischberg for the first time in January 2011 and finished 13th in the halfpipe . In March 2014 he reached his first podium in the World Cup with third place in the Slopestyle at his fourth World Cup. In season 2015/16 he won the Big Air at Nor Freeski in Skeikampen , finishing in Hovden second place in the Big Air. In April 2016 he was in Hovden Norwegian champion in the Big Air. In the season 2016/17 he was in the World Cup four times in the top ten. He won his first World Cup victory in the Big Air in Voss and thus achieved 21st place in the overall World Cup and fifth place in the Big Air World Cup at the end of the season. In March 2017, he came tenth in slopestyle at the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell and 16th in slopestyle at the 2017 Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Sierra Nevada . At the beginning of April 2017 he was again Norwegian Big Air Champion in Geilo . After 31st place in Cardrona , ninth place in Milan and 25th place in Stubai in the 2017/18 season, he won his second World Cup victory in Big Air in Mönchengladbach . This was followed by another victory at the Big Air in Québec and at the end of the season tenth place in the overall World Cup and first place in the Big Air World Cup. At the Winter X Games 2018 and the X Games Norway 2018 in Fornebu , he finished fifth in Big Air. In February 2018, he came 28th in slopestyle at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . At the beginning of April 2018 he became Norwegian champion in slopestyle and big air.
