Career

In the club

He started his career at Lanuvio Campoleone , then moved to Albalonga , but didn't really start his career until 1996 when he was signed by AS Lodigiani , the third team in Rome. In his debut season, Lodigiani played in Serie C1 . Terlizzi only posted one appearance and appeared twice the following season.

After several championships in Serie D with formations such as Tivoli Calcio , AS Castelli Romani and Selargius Calcio , he was committed in September 2001 by Teramo Calcio . He then played for AC Cesena in the 2002/03 season , making his Serie A debut . In the 2003/04 season Terlizzi was signed by US Palermo . He played at a good level with the Sicilians. He completed 13 games and scored one goal.

The 2005-06 season started well for Terlizzi, playing many games and showing that he is a large capacity defender. At the end of the championship, Palermo had qualified for the UEFA Cup thanks to Calciopoli , Terlizzi became one of the protagonists with 21 appearances and five goals.

In the summer of 2006 Terlizzi was not included in the plans of the coach Francesco Guidolin and decided to change the team. Together with Pietro Accardi he went to Sampdoria Genoa .

In the 2006/07 season he had to sit out in September after a traffic accident. After surviving the accident, he was able to return. In October in the game against AC Parma Terlizzi ran again. Another injury, a herniated disc, forced him to take another break. After a long break, Terlizzi moved from Sampdoria to Catania Calcio on July 5, 2007 .

After a good first half of the season for Catania Terlizzi had to go to the stands after a dispute with coach Silvio Baldini and was only able to return to the squad after Baldini was replaced by Walter Zenga on the 32nd matchday of the 2007/08 season .

In the national team

On August 16, 2006 Terlizzi made his debut for the Italian national team in the game in Livorno against Croatia. The game ended 2-0 for the guests. In this game, in addition to Terlizzi, four other players from Sampdoria were used Cristian Zenoni , Gennaro Delvecchio , Giulio Falcone and Angelo Palombo .
