Christian Wilhelm von Numsen

Christian Wilhelm von Numsen (* 1687 ; † September 25, 1756 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish lieutenant general and chamberlain .

Life

Origin and family

Numsen came from a 1688 ennobled Danish family. His parents were the Danish major general Mathias Numsen (1646–1731) and Marie Olesdatter Worm (1588–1654). The also Danish general Michael von Numsen (1686–1757) was his brother.

Career

Numsen became second lieutenant in the grenadier corps in 1707 , advanced to prime lieutenant in 1710 and captain in the body regiment in 1711 . In 1718 he switched to the Guards on foot and rose to major in 1728 and colonel and chief of the Jutland National Infantry Regiment in 1737 . In 1745 he received his promotion to major general. Was Numsen 1752 White Knight and dimittierte 1755 as lieutenant general.

family

Numsen was married to Sophie Hedevig von der Maase (1699–1739), daughter of the court preacher Hector Gottfried Masius (1653–1709). The marriage resulted in three daughters and one son.
