Christiane Fricke

Christiane E. Fricke (* 1958 ) is a German art historian , freelance journalist , art critic and author who writes articles and organizes art exhibitions for various German newspapers and magazines .

Life

Christiane Fricke studied German , art history and archeology in Würzburg and Bonn and received her doctorate from the University of Bonn in 1994 with a thesis on art history . Until 1992 she had a contract for work at the Kunstmuseum Bonn and the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt am Main . Since 1988 Fricke has been working as a freelance journalist in Bonn for the General-Anzeiger Bonn , the Handelsblatt , the Süddeutsche Zeitung , Photonews , Kunstforum International and Weltkunst . Since 1999 she has also been a freelance editor for the Handelsblatt in the art market . Since 2009 she has also been in charge of the art market pages on Handelsblatt.com . From 2011 to 2015 Fricke was chairman of the Art, Market and Law section of the German Society for Photography (DGPh).
