Christiane Hoffmann (journalist)
Christiane Hoffmann (born May 25, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist and correspondent .
Live and act
education
As a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation , Hoffmann studied Slavic Studies , History and Journalism at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg , the Leningrad State University and the University of Hamburg .
journalism
From 1994 to 2012, Hoffmann worked in various positions at home and abroad for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung , including from 1996 to 1999 as a correspondent in Moscow , from 1999 to 2004 as a correspondent in Tehran and from 2010 to 2012 as a correspondent in Berlin .
In January 2013 she moved to the news magazine Der Spiegel , where she was deputy head of the capital city office from January 2013 to December 2018 and was responsible for the opinion pieces from September 2015 to December 2018. She has been the author of the capital city office since January 2019.
Hoffmann often sits on political talk shows ( Anne Will , Hart aber fair , Markus Lanz ) and in the ARD press club .

Hoffmann is married to the former Swiss member of parliament and former ambassador to Berlin, Tim Guldimann . She has two children and lives in Berlin .
