Christina Boxer

Christina Boxer ( Christina Tracy Boxer , divorced Cahill ; born March 25, 1957 in Northolt, London Borough of Ealing ) is a former British middle-distance runner .

Life

In 1980 she reached the semi-finals of the 800-meter run at the Olympic Games in Moscow .

She won over 1500 m for England starting at the Commonwealth Games 1982 in Brisbane. Over the same distance she was ninth at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 , sixth at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and fourth at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.

In 1990 she won silver at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland and was tenth at the European Athletics Championships in Split . At the 1991 World Cup in Tokyo, she was eliminated in advance.

She took part in the World Cross Country Championships three times: in 1982 in Rome she came 41st, 1983 in Gateshead 19th and 1987 in Warsaw 75th.

She was English champion over 800 m (1977, 1978, 1985) and 1500 m (1982, 1988, 1990) three times as well as four times British champion over 800 m (1979, 1980, 1984, 1988) and once over 1500 m (1986) . In 1992 she won the English title over 1500 m indoors.
