Christine "Christa" von Szabó was an Austrian figure skater who started in pair skating .

She was the sister of Eduard Engelmann junior , the European champion from 1892 to 1894 and the builder of the world's first artificial ice rink. She was the mother of Olympic champion and multiple world champion Herma Szabó .

Christa von Szabó appeared in pair skating with Leo Horwitz in 1913 and 1914 . At the Austrian championships in 1913, the first in pair skating , they were runner-up behind Szabó's niece Helene Engelmann and her skating partner Karl Mejstrik . In 1914, von Szabó and Horwitz took revenge. They became Austrian champions before Engelmann and Mejstrik. In both years they also took part in world championships, but there they were never able to beat their compatriots and won the bronze medal in Stockholm in 1913 and in St. Moritz in 1914 .
