Christine Kruger

Christine Krüger (born February 23, 1947 ; also: Christine Schmidt-Schaller ) is a German actress and director .

Life

After studying acting from 1965 to 1969 at the “Hans Otto” theater school in Leipzig , Krüger was initially engaged as an actress at the municipal theaters of Karl-Marx-Stadt and then at the stages of the city of Magdeburg . Her repertoire included the title roles in Hedda Gabler and Minna von Barnhelm .

From 1981 to 1985 she completed her studies at the Institute for Drama Directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . In the following years she directed several television productions for the DFF and the MDR .

From 1993 to 2006 Christine Krüger was professor for acting at the University of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam . After she left there she worked exclusively as an actress again. She founded the actor ensemble Compagnia die prose , with which she holds scenic readings , and received minor film roles. She played teachers in the episode Aysha of the ZDF series SOKO Leipzig and in Tim Trageser's TV film Die Lehrerin . In Doris Dörrie's film The Hairdresser , she was the customer in the opening and closing sequences. In Sönke Wortmann's Rewe commercial with Lukas Podolski , she was one of the main actors in 2010.

Christine Krüger lives in Berlin. She was married to Andreas Schmidt-Schaller . In 2009 and 2013 she appeared with him in the SOKO Leipzig series . Their daughter Petra Schmidt-Schaller is also an actress.
