Christine Ludwig (born November 24, 1972 in Eisenstadt ) is an Austrian costume designer .

Life

After completing her school education, Christine Ludwig moved to Vienna to obtain her apprenticeship as a ladies' dressmaker (fashion drawing, cutting technology and tailoring) at the secondary college of the federal government for fashion and clothing technology. After studying theater studies and art history from 1992–94, she took a special course in stage costumes, historical cutting techniques and tailoring and fashion history from 1994–95.

Ludwig received the Austrian Film Award in 2020 for the costume design of the feature film How I learned to be a child with myself by Rupert Henning, based on the story of the same name with autobiographical features by André Heller, which was published in 2008 .
