action

The three ex-students Johann, Max and Mao are more poorly than quite afloat in Graz . Johann works at the post office and Max is still trying to realize his revolutionary advertising ideas. Mao occasionally works as a drug dealer and so comes to the pimp Schorsch, who advises her to make a porn film . Johann and Max are quickly persuaded to do so and through a casting they also find the female lead actors Mara and Martha. But it soon turns out that not everything is so easy and that sex in front of the camera is really hard work.

Production data

The film reached 70,509 cinema-goers in Austria and was thus one of the most successful national productions of 2004. In Germany, the film started with only a few copies in the cinemas and reached around 5,000 visitors.

Reviews

The film database Prisma.de awarded the film three stars, which means something like "worth seeing".

“Director Michael Glawogger staged this sometimes subtle, sometimes coarse-witted, low-budget erotic satire without any particular depth in the tradition of the new Austrian cinema. […] The Austrian dialects, which are sometimes difficult to understand, could cause problems for some viewers, but the cleverly staged cinema piece based on the script by Michael Ostrowski, who can also be seen in the role of Max, is convincing with its weird situational wit and the well-placed leading actors.
