Publishing principles

The CLV is organized as a non-profit association (Bielefeld Register of Associations, VR 2173).

Since the publishing house sees itself as a missionary work , it has committed itself to the following four principles:

  • No profit: All surpluses are used to finance further book and other missionary projects.
  • Low prices: Customers are primarily evangelistic congregations that run book tables for the purpose of evangelism .
  • Large print runs to keep printing costs low.
  • No debts: Books are only published if the money for the print run (printing costs and layout) is available beforehand. Funds should not be raised through donations, but rather through individual project-related measures.

A special feature is that almost all of the publisher's books, including out-of-print books, can be downloaded from its website for personal use.

Employee

With a few exceptions, all employees work on a voluntary basis . They see their work as "service to God".
