Christof Dahm

Christof Dahm (* 1957 in Mayen ) is a German Catholic theologian , historian and specialist author .

Life

After completing his military service, Christof Dahm studied Catholic theology , history and education at the University of Mainz. From 1984 to 1991 he was a research assistant at the University of Mainz. In 1990 he received his doctorate in Catholic theology at the University of Mainz. From 1991 to 2000 he was a consultant for contemporary history, church history and political science at the Cultural Foundation for German Expellees in Bonn .

Since 2001 Dahm has been employed by the Catholic solidarity campaign Renovabis in Freising . There he is a consultant for the organization of international congresses as well as for the editing of the magazine Ost-West published by Renovabis together with the Central Committee of German Catholics . European Perspectives ( OWEP ).

Dahm publishes on theological topics and in the area of ​​understanding with neighboring peoples and states in the east and has published several specialist books and articles. Among other things, he has so far written 34 articles for the Biographisch-Bibliographische Kirchenlexikon ; he also writes for the New German Biography (NBD).
