Christoph Frank (lawyer)

Christoph Frank (born August 12, 1952 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German lawyer . Until August 2018 he was senior public prosecutor as permanent representative of the head of the authorities and head of the doping crime department at the Freiburg Public Prosecutor's Office.

Frank studied law in Freiburg from 1971 to 1976 . In 1979 he began his legal career as a judge at the Offenburg Regional Court . Over the years, he held various offices of Baden-Wuerttemberg Justice and as a judge at the district court in Dresden , as chief prosecutor at the Prosecutor General's Office worked Karlsruhe and as head of the prosecutor's office in Görlitz.

From 1996 to 2001 Frank was a member of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Council at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice , most recently as Deputy Chairman. From 2001 to 2007 he was a member of the Presidium of the German Association of Judges and deputy chairman; from 2007 to 2016 chairman of the German Association of Judges .

In terms of local politics, he is active as the mayor of Unteribental in his home town of Buchenbach . He was also a councilor in Buchenbach.

Christoph Frank is married and has two grown children.
