Christoph Gottfried Bardili

Christoph Gottfried Bardili (born May 18, 1761 in Blaubeuren , † June 5, 1808 in Mergelstetten ) was a German philosopher and university professor .

Life

Bardili came from a family of scholars . His cousin was the philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph von Schelling . After private lessons he attended from 1774 to 1778 two years at the convent schools of Denkendorf and Blaubeuren . In 1778 he moved to the Tübingen monastery and devoted himself to scientific, philosophical and theological studies. In 1783 he became vicar in Kirchheim, but then continued his studies in philosophy . In 1787 he went to the University of Göttingen . He returned in 1789 and was repetent for philosophy at the Tübingen monastery.

1790 Bardili took a call to a professor of philosophy at the High School Karl after Stuttgart and remained there until its closure in 1794. He was subsequently school professor at the School Illustre Stuttgart . He stayed there until his death.

His philosophical work, which is largely shaped by the discussion with Immanuel Kant , was brought into a more tangible form by Carl Leonhard Reinhold .
