Christoph König (born March 26, 1979 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) is an Austrian ice hockey player . He is the son of KAC legend Rudolf König .

Career

Christoph König began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the EC KAC , for whose professional team he was active in the Austrian ice hockey league from 1995 to 2001 . With the team he won the national championship title in the 1999/2000 and 2000/01 seasons . From 2001 to 2005 the winger played for the capital city club Vienna Capitals , with whom he also became champions in the 2004/05 season . In the 2005/06 season the former national player was once again on the ice for the EC KAC in the ÖEHL and the EK Zell am See from the second-class national league. He last played in the 2007 season for the Central Coast Rhinos from the Australian Ice Hockey League . Then he ended his career.

International

For Austria , König took part in the A World Championships in 1999 and 2002 .
