Christoph Siegenthaler

Christoph Siegenthaler (born January 8, 1979 in Burgdorf , Switzerland ) is a Swiss jazz pianist, keyboardist, producer, composer and band leader.

Life

Siegenthaler grew up in Ochlenberg, Switzerland. After completing his training as a polygraph (media designer), he studied jazz piano from 2003 to 2007 with Günter Kühlwein, William Evans and Manuel Bärtsch in the performance and pedagogy course at the Bern University of the Arts (Swiss Jazz School). Siegenthaler took part in various master classes during his student days, such as with Michael Brecker , Bruce Barth , Art Lande , Paul McCandless (Oregon), Darmon Meader (New York Voices), Ernie Watts , Janek Gwizdala, Billy Cobham , Enrico Pieranunzi , Francois and Louis Moutin .

Christoph Siegenthaler is u. a. Keyboarder from Stefanie Heinzmann and tours in Germany and abroad. In 2009, a portrait of Siegenthaler was published in the German keyboarder magazine “ Taste World” .

From 2010 to 2014 he performed regularly at Club 51 in Cologne and accompanied singers such as Faiz Mangat , Onita Boone and Nica & Joe .

Siegenthaler is also active as a producer and composer. In 2010 he composed and produced music for Audi for the IAA in Frankfurt. In 2013 he composed and produced the score for the short film "Crash" by the Beydemüller brothers. In 2015 he wrote the score for the 12-part series Mein Weg Nach Rio . In July 2015 he released his first album as a solo artist with his Jazz Trio.

Siegenthaler currently lives in Germany.
