Christoph Siegmund von Wallenrodt

Christoph Siegmund von Wallenrodt (* before about 1751, † after 1778 ) was a Prussian lieutenant colonel .

Life

Origin and family

Christoph Sigmund was a member of the Prussian line of the noble family Wallenrodt .

Career

Wallenrodt joined the Prussian army at the age of 16 and thus participated in the Silesian Wars , where he was wounded in the Battle of Leuthen and was captured in the battle of Maxen . As early as 1765 he was in the rank of major commander of the III. Standing grenadier battalion , which had its garrison in Magdeburg . In 1771 he successfully turned to the king to protect the officers of his battalion from unjustified accusations. He remained in the position of battalion commander until 1773. His successor in this position was Major von Romberg (1729-1809). In 1773 he became the commander of the infantry regiment "von Lossow" (No. 41) . Before December 10, 1778, as a lieutenant colonel, he was granted his requested farewell with a salary from this position .
