Christoph Steinegger
Christoph Steinegger (* 1971 near Linz , Austria) is an Austrian graphic designer , art director and typographer .
biography
In the early 1990s, Steinegger attended the Higher Federal College for Artistic Design in Linz, Austria. From 1993 to 1998 he worked as Art Director at Haslinger, Keck, an advertising agency in Linz, Austria. From 1998 to 2003 he worked as Creative Director, from 2000 Managing Director Creation, at Büro X and Lo Breier in Hamburg. In 1998, as Art Director, he also designed the exhibition catalog fashion / cinema for the Fashion Biennale in Florence on behalf of Terry Jones (British fashion magazine iD ), London. He was a member of the Art Directors Club (ADC) Germany and the Creativ Club Austria (CCA) in Austria (board member 1997–1998) until 2003.
Steinegger has been a member of D&AD London since 2004. Until 2005 he was creative director of the label and project group Sabotage Communications. In 2003 he founded the graphic design office Interkool with headquarters in Hamburg. He was the first art director of the art magazine Spike Art Quarterly, founded in 2004, until its redesign in 2014. From 2009 to the end of 2013 he was responsible for the visual appearance of the Kunstverein in Hamburg . Steingger has been co-editor of the culture magazine Kultur & Gespenster since 2006.
