In 1997 he got his first engagement as an actor at the Theater an der Parkaue (at that time Carrouseltheater ) in Berlin.

In 2001 Theussl gave his first concert with exclusively self-written songs and texts and since then he has appeared regularly as a singer-songwriter in clubs, pubs, at festivals, cabaret events and reading stages . Theussl has been in constant artistic contact with the Club of Polish Failures since 2008 . As an actor, Theussl was often a member of the ensemble around director Angela Richter between 2004 and 2010 , and since 2005 he has also been realizing art projects with the project maker and film producer Juliane Beer and her label Kunst im Getriebe . style

Theussl describes himself as a "satirist" and "classical songwriter" and appears live almost exclusively with a six-string steel-string guitar. Although he has lived in Germany for many years and mainly performs his music in this country, Theussl has kept the Austrian dialect in his songs so far. According to his own statements, this is more suitable to better express the special humor that is a central component of his texts. Theussl deliberately does not belong to any collecting society à la GEMA. In the late summer of 2014, his second album Endlich was released with black humor songs about death.

Awards

In 1997 Christoph Theussl was awarded the Max Reinhardt Prize . In 2014 he received the advancement award of the song best list . In 2015, he received the Hanns Seidel Foundation's sponsorship award for young song poets as part of the songs on a summer evening .
