Christophe Roland V. "Chris" De Meulder (born March 5, 1988 ) is a professional Belgian poker player from Antwerp . His twin brother Matthias is also a poker player.

Personal

De Meulder grew up with his twin brother Matthias in a small town near Antwerp . Her father Bob let her take part in various film castings, so they met Leonardo DiCaprio during a casting for the film Total Eclipse in 1993 . At the age of ten, the twins won a casting for the show Man bijt Hond ( German man bites dog ) and then moderated it for three years. Christophe De Meulder then continued his school education and is now studying human sciences .  

In 2012 he took part in the reality show Expeditie Robinson with his twin brother and Fatima Moreira de Melo .

Poker career

De Meulder learned poker from his brother Matthias. He himself began playing on the online platform PokerStars and was part of Team PokerStars alongside his brother under the nickname chrisdm until the end of 2015 . He also uses this nickname on partypoker and also plays as getmechips ( bwin and BlackChip) and notgoinganywhere (GGPoker and Americas Cardroom) . De Meulder has more than two million with online poker tournament dollars earned.

De Meulder is also a regular at renowned live tournaments and has taken part in the World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas several times . At the end of January 2012 he won the Dom Classics in Utrecht with a prize of over 30,000 euros . In April 2018, De Meulder reached the final table at the opening tournament of the partypoker Millions in Barcelona and received prize money of almost 40,000 euros for his sixth place. In mid-March 2019 he finished third at the WPT Deepstacks of the World Poker Tour in Barcelona and received his highest prize money to date of more than 150,000 euros.

In total, De Meulder has earned over $ 600,000 in poker in live tournaments.
