The building complex in the Rosenthaler Vorstadt , which was built between 1895 and 1898 and consists of two residential buildings in the courtyard of the property, was the East Prussian Evangelical Prayer Society founded by Christoph Kukat in Berlin. Since 1942, the sacred building has been shared by a Pentecostal community that belongs to the Bund Freikirchlicher Pfingstgemeinden . After repairing the damage caused in the Second World War , it has been used by her alone since 1947. In 1993 the Pentecostal church acquired the entire facility.

Building description

The granting of the building permit was tied to the condition not to build in the row of houses on the street side. The very large rear area of ​​the property enabled the construction of two transverse buildings with five floors, one behind the other . The church itself is located in the cross building of the second back courtyard . The nave , integrated into the house, was originally vaulted with a dome . The dome, which was destroyed in World War II, was replaced by a flat ceiling in 1947 . The masonry is plastered. The frames of the windows and the friezes in the facade are made of clinker brick . Between the pilasters , above the three doors of the portal, there are pointed-arched windows across floors .
