Chrodobert

Chrodobert (lat. Chrodobertus or Crodobertus ; * before 615, † after 631/632) was a Duke of the Alemanni .

In 631/632 Chrodobert led an Alamann army ( exercitus Alamannorum ) in the campaign of the Frankish king Dagobert I against the Slavic ruler Samo .

His position, his origin and his territory are completely unclear.

It was possibly identical to a Hruodi that was mentioned in the Passio Sancti Kiliani .
