Hariobaud
Hariobaud (lat. Hariobaudes ) was an Alemannic Gau king in the 4th century .
The Roman writer Ammianus Marcellinus reports that Caesar Julian crossed the Rhine near Mainz in 359 and concluded peace treaties with the Alemanni kings Hariobaud, Makrian , Ur , Ursicinus , Vadomar and Vestralp after all prisoners had been returned.
Hariobaud's name is derived from the Old High German hari (army) and biotan (areas).
