Chwitscha Kvarazchelia ( Georgian ხვიჩა კვარაცხელია , FIFA spelling after English transcription: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ; born February 12, 2001 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian football player who has been under contract with Russian first division club Rubin Kazan since the 2019/20 season .

The attacking midfielder has been a Georgian international since June 2019 .

Career

Kwarazchelia comes from the youth department of the traditional Georgian club Dinamo Tiflis . In September 2017, the final phase of the 2017 game year , he was promoted to the first team of head coach Kacha Katscharawa at the age of 16 . On September 29, 2017, he made his debut in the top Georgian league in the game against FC Kolcheti 1913 Poti when he came on for Akaki Schulaia in the 62nd minute of the game . Twenty minutes later, he prepared Beka Kawtaradze's equalizer to make it 1-1. In his third appearance on November 18 (34th matchday), he scored the goal of the day in a 1-0 away win against FC Schukura Kobuleti after being substituted on . He ended the season with four league appearances.

For the following 2018 season , Kwarazchelia joined league rivals FC Rustawi . He made his debut on June 29 (17th matchday) in a 2-1 home win against FC Samtredia . He scored the first goal of the season on September 2 (23rd matchday) in a 4-0 away win against FC Sioni Bolnisi . He scored three goals in 18 league games.

On February 15, 2019, Kwarazchelia switched to the Russian first division club Lokomotive Moscow on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season . There he made his debut on March 10 (19th matchday) in the 2-0 away win against Anzhi Makhachkala , when he came on for Jefferson Farfán in the closing stages . As a result, he established himself as a rotation player and scored on May 10 (28th matchday) in the league game against Rubin Kazan shortly after his substitution, the goal for the 4-0 final from the perspective of the capital city. He left Loko after the season with a goal in seven league games, as they could not agree with FC Rustawi on a permanent transfer.

On July 6, 2019, Rubin Kazan , Lokomotiv's league competitor, signed Kvarazchelia and provided him with a five-year contract. He followed his former teammate at Dinamo Tiflis, compatriot and only three days younger Suriko Dawitashvili , who had switched to the club days before. On July 15 (1st matchday) he made his debut for the Tatars in the league game against Lokomotiv Moscow when he was substituted on for Dawitashvili in the 66th minute of the game. Ten minutes later he scored the equalizer for the 1-1 final score with a header.

National team

On August 16, 2017, he made his debut in a 4-0 win in a friendly international match against the Belarusian U17s for the Georgian U17 national team and scored a goal in this game. As a result, he established himself as a regular player and scored many goals in the friendly games over the next few months. By March 2018, he made 15 goals in 21 international matches.

He has been working for the U19s since November 2017 .

On June 7, 2019, he made his debut in a 3-0 home win in the 2021 European Football Championship / qualification # qualification for the 2021 European Championship for the A selection , when he was on the starting line-up and was substituted in the 47th minute of the game.

Private

Chwitscha Kwarazchelia's father Badri was a professional soccer player and, as a born Georgian, played three international matches for the Azerbaijani national team in 2000 .
