Clímaco Jacinto Zarauz Carrillo (born February 24, 1926 in San Antonio de Ibarra , † July 21, 2017 in Ibarra ) was an Ecuadorian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Azogues .

Life

Clímaco Jacinto Zarauz Carrillo was ordained a priest on June 25, 1950 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Azogues on March 2, 1990. The Archbishop of Cuenca , Luis Alberto Luna Tobar OCD , donated him episcopal ordination on April 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Juan Ignacio Larrea Holguín , Archbishop of Guayaquil , and Bernardino Carlos Guillermo Honorato Echeverría Ruiz OFM , Archbishop Emeritus of Guayaquil.

On February 14, 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
