Claire Krähenbühl

Claire Krähenbühl (born September 3, 1942 in Yverdon-les-Bains ) is a Swiss writer and artist from the canton of Vaud .

Life

Claire Krähenbühl was born an hour before her twin sister, the writer Denise Mützenberg . She drew a lot throughout her childhood and began writing poetry when she was about nine years old . From 1958 to 1961 she attended the École des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne . She then trained as a nurse at the Center hospitalier universitaire vaudois in the same city . She married in 1964.

Claire Krähenbühl is interested in various fields of art: drawing , collage , writing, poetry. During a stay in the USA, she attended the Art Students League in New York City and dealt with lithography . Back in Switzerland (1975), she resumed her profession and writing. She lived first in Vevey , later in Rivaz .

In 1982 she published her first book of poems, Du Miroir la ronce , which was followed by nine more at regular intervals. In 1993 she published her first volume with erotic stories , Le Divan bleu . This was followed by other collections of short stories and the prose book Le Piège du miroir (2002), which she wrote with her sister on the subject of twin existence.

In 2003 she was u. a. invited to the International Poetry Festival Medellín and 2013 to the Seetaler Poetry Summer .

Claire Krähenbühl now lives and works in La Sarraz .
