Cliciova (Hungarian: Klicsó ) is a village in Timiș County , Banat , Romania . Cliciova belongs to the Bethausen congregation .

Geographical location

Cliciova is located in the east of Timiș County, 14 kilometers from Lugoj , on the Lugoj- Ilia railway line .

history

In the Middle Ages, the village appears in various donation and ownership deeds. In 1454 Johann Hunyadi received the estate as a gift from King Ladislaus V.

In 1596 Klachova belonged to the Hunedoara district . During the Turkish occupation , Sigismund Báthory received the estate as a gift. György Szentmiklosy and János Aponyi later became landowners.

1690-1700 the village belonged to the district of Făget . On the Josephine land survey of 1717, the place Klicsó is registered with 30 houses.

In the interwar period, Cliciova belonged to Severin County , Belinț District . Cliciova has always been a Romanian village.
