Clotilde Courau
Clotilde Marie Pascale Courau (born April 3, 1969 in Levallois-Perret , Hauts-de-Seine ) is a French actress . She is married to Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia , the eldest grandson of the last Italian king Umberto II , and thus belongs to the House of Savoy .
Life
Clotilde Marie Pascale Courau was born to Jean-Claude Courau (* 1942) and Catherine du Pontavice des Renardières (* 1948). She has three sisters and grew up in a Roman Catholic family. She spent her childhood in Egypt and Benin . After graduating from high school, she decided to become an actress at the age of 16. She also studied at the Cours Simon and Cours Florent in Paris . She then played the theater before entering that of Jacques Doillon staged published in 1990 drama The Little Gangster alongside Richard Anconina and Gérald Thomassin debuted in the role of Stephanie on the canvas. For her portrayal, she was at the presentation of the French film award César in 1991 as Best Young Actress nomination and the same year at the award ceremony of the European Film Awards as Best Actress Award.
On September 25, 2003 she married Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia in the Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri , a church in Rome . During the wedding she wore a wedding dress by Valentino . She was six months pregnant. The wedding itself has been the subject of controversy, as Courau is known for her politically left-wing views. After the wedding, she received from the House of Savoy the title "Clotilde of Savoy, Princess of Venice and Piedmont" ( Italian: Principessa Clotilde di Savoia, Principessa di Venezia e Piemonte ). Their first daughter, Vittoria Chiara Cristina Adelaide Maria, was born on December 28, 2003. Their second daughter, Luisa, was born on August 16, 2006. The couple adopted two Kenyan babies in January 2011.
