Columbus Short (2010)

Columbus Short (born September 19, 1982 in Kansas City , Missouri ; born Columbus Keith Short Jr. ) is an American actor and choreographer .

Life and accomplishments

Short moved to Los Angeles as a child and attended Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana . He worked as a choreographer with Britney Spears , among others . Short was nominated for the American Choreography Award in 2004.

Short made his debut as an actor in the dance film Street Style from 2004. In the music film Save the Last Dance 2 (2006) he played one of the bigger roles on the side of Izabella Miko and Jacqueline Bisset . In the dance film Stomp the Yard (2007) he took on the lead role of DJ , a talented student with a criminal past. For this role he was nominated in two categories for the MTV Movie Award 2007 .
