Comic On!
Comic On! is a prevention theater for children and young people based in Cologne - Nippes . Since 1990 the theater has been active in prevention work for children and young people nationwide and in neighboring German-speaking countries and works with approaches to cultural and political education . In addition to the touring theater business , Comic On! his own plays and organizes educational theater workshops.
history
The Comic On! Theaterproduktion was founded in 1990 with the aim of providing quality and, at the same time, entertaining prevention work nationwide with the means of theater . The problem of right-wing extremism in the 1990s gave rise to this initiative.
present
A total of 30 employees from educational, artistic and administrative areas take part in the planning and realization of new pieces, workshops and the ongoing tour. Comic On! as a sole proprietorship under the direction of the theater pedagogue and business economist Franz Zöhren.

Theater production
Comic On! conceives his own plays on prevention topics such as violence or drug prevention , right-wing extremism , sexuality , AIDS , sustainability , environmental protection , nutrition , health, etc. a. sets them up and stages them. For some productions Comic On! with different cooperation partners.
Touring theater
Comic On! is on tour nationwide and in German-speaking countries with its own productions and plays in schools, youth and cultural centers or as part of cultural and prevention events. Comic On! a prevention concept consisting of a theater performance, follow-up discussion and accompanying teaching material.
Theater education
Comic On! is also active in the field of theater education in schools and offers various workshops and courses for children and young people.
