The Communauté de communes interdépartementale des Baronnies was a French community association with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the two departments of Hautes-Alpes and Drôme , so it was structured across departments (French: interdépartemental ) and across regions. It was named after the landscape of the Baronnies and emerged on December 30, 1994 from SIVOM des Baronnies , which was founded on March 21, 1966 . The administrative headquarters were in Lagrand of the Commune nouvelle Garde-Colombe and thus outside of their own area.

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former member community Lagrand merged to form the Comune nouvelle Garde-Colombe , which now belongs entirely to the Communauté de communes du Laragnais . This reduces the number of member communities to currently 15.

On January 1, 2017, the Communauté de communes interdépartementale des Baronnies merged with six other Communauté de communes to form the Communauté de communes du Sisteronais-Buëch .

tasks

The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association was responsible for garbage collection and disposal, sewage disposal (partially) and other environmental matters. In addition, he sponsored both general and school-related events in the areas of sport and culture.
