Community des Villes Ariane
The Communauté des Villes Ariane ( CVA , English name: Community of Ariane Cities , German translation: Community of Ariane cities ) is the community of locations in Europe and French Guiana that are involved in the Ariane production. The respective city and the local industrial company form an alliance. The town twinning was founded on July 17, 1998 to promote the economic, cultural and educational development of the towns involved. City administrations should be more involved, cooperation between cities should grow, and public relations work for space travel should be strengthened: the projects should become transparent for citizens and the next generation should be introduced to the topic. Youth exchanges play an important role in this.
President 2005/2006 is Joan Clos , Mayor of Barcelona. CVA's headquarters are in Évry , France .
