The New Communist Party of the Netherlands (NCPN) ( Dutch Nieuwe Communistische Partij - NCPN ) is a Dutch party established in 1992 . She takes a Marxist-Leninist point of view. The German Communist Party describes the NCPN as one of its sister parties .

history

The NCPN was formed in 1992 as a merger of various communist groups that did not agree with the merging of the Communist Partij van Nederland (CPN) in the GroenLinks alliance . In 1994 the party first took part in elections to the Second Chamber of the States General , but received only 11,701 votes. This result worsened four years later to only 5620 votes. Even in later elections, the NCPN has so far not won any parliamentary seats, but was represented at the local level in the municipal councils of Lemsterland , Reiderland , Scheemda and Heiloo .

Political positions

The party describes itself as an anti-capitalist party with a Marxist-Leninist ideological basis.

When assessing the role of different states with regard to their influence within the EU, the NCPN sees the role of the USA as more important than that of the Federal Republic, for example .

The CJB was founded on September 21, 2003 and is the organizationally independent continuation of the previous "NCPN-Jongeren", the former youth platform within the NCPN. The CJB published the monthly magazine Voorwaarts! in print form. It is currently published online and is also printed out on paper at irregular intervals.

The CJB is a member of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WBDJ) and takes part in the meetings of European Communist Youth Organizations .
