The initiative of communist and workers' parties in Europe is a communist European party . It has 29 communist and workers' parties, and several non-European parties are close to it. It was founded on October 1, 2013 on the initiative of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE).
The full name of the association is the initiative of communist and workers' parties to research and develop European issues and to coordinate their activities , the short name is INITIATIVE. Since 2016, the association also called European Communist Initiative ( European Communist Initiative , ECI). Internationally, the INITIATIVE is incorporated into the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties , in which most of its members are also active.
